My attempt at one of my childhood favourite sweet treats, the Vanilla Custard Slice. They were hard work, but worth it. Forget the rubbery custard you get in the shop bought ones, these ones use a smooth, vanilla bean enriched creme pâtissière and homemade puff pastry.
